Just imagine...

Salam all!

This is my first topic here on my new site, and I want to start with a fictive idea, just imagine If Morocco had the chance to play in the next world cup 2010 in South Africa, would they shine like they did back in france in 1998? or would they be outclassed like in 1994? or even would they win the world cup at last? let's hear it from you and what you think, just imagine because this just fiction!

ps: please write in you own mother tong if you cannot write in English.

Cheers,

Hassan B.

Re: Just imagine...

The difference between success and failure is very small. To achieve success, the moroccan football society has to first change thinking. Our best talents do not want to play for morocco, alot of developing talents get fed up and quit football all together.

There are alot of countries that consistently qualify to the world cup without alot of talent. a.k.a mexico, england, poland.

Salam bro,

I think we should be positive at least in fiction ;) just imagine we have the right coach and the right players, wouldn't we be capable of at least reaching te semis of the WC2010? Let's say we are in Group E with Holland, Japan and Denmark, after for some reason Cameroon drop out and they look out for a replacement, Togo banned and Gabon has also some problems to show up in the World Cup so that leaves Morocco as their only option.

So after all this wouldn't we beat any strong team be it from europe or South america? is it so hard to do? after all it's just football and it's round the chances are equal. we are still in fiction by the way!

You know what the problem of our football is NOT the FA or the players it's a question of self-confidence and harmony. we should have faith in our players and FA and the rest will come naturally and this is for real!

Take care,

Hassan B.

Re: Just imagine...

I think that we have more creativity in our team than Algeria, especially if we play European teams in our poule we would have a great chance to qualify for the next round. Our only problem would be our defense (central defenders) and a good goalkeeper. With our material we would have a impressive line up: GK: .... DR: Basser DC: Benatia, DC: Kaboul?, DL:El Kaddouri; DM: Kharja, DM: El Ahmadi, RM: Taarabt, LM: Boussoufa, ST: Chamakh, ST: El Hamdaoui. A 4-4-2 line-up just like in 1998.

Does anyone has some news about Kaboul and his choice? We really lack quality in the defense.

I think that if we had hired Eric Gerets one year ago, we would have qualified and at lest come to the second round in the World Cup. Don't think that we would have gone further then the quarter-finals though.

You right. We need qualitative good players in the defence. What is with a other name, Adil Rami from Olympique Lille?
