Some sources like Africa News report that Morocco have contracted Belgian coach Eric Gerets.

I think if this is confirmed it will be good news for Moroccan NT. Because Gerets speaks Dutch/English and French. He will make the players become as one team!

If Morocco does sign Eric Gerets then the national team will become so much better than they are. We already have talented stars. Just look at Chamakh, Taarabt, Nabil El Zhar, El Hamdaoui. Plus Eric Gerets has also coached Marseille. So there's no doubt he's a good coach.

I don't know about that nabil el zhar hasn't played for liverpool this year. Chamakh will never give 100% to morocco. I think whoever the coach is he should bring in new talent.

I don't know. For some reason the dutch moroccans always don't make the same impact with the national team. Even el hamdaoui was not himself, I think of the match against cameroon. We'll see.

salam brothers i have feeling the FA have been waiting for the end of season so they can get zaki on free i too hope he get the job,my second choice will be martin jol i like what he done at tottenham & hamburg and his type of fooball will suite morocco ,he was hard done by at tottenham even they said it was mistake to sack him , & don't forget he's the one who give taarabt his debut & the man is multilingual ,you have him at ajax hassan what you thing

Saudi newspapers claims that Gerets has not signed anything for Morocco and that he will finish his contract with Al-Hilal till 2011. Still without a manager

I think what Morocco needs is a two-coach combo, one foreigner who is multilingual and a Moroccan like Zaki or any other decent Moroccan coach, this because our best players are in europe and we should not forget the locals too, the locals and pros cannot stand alone they should combine their forces to create ONE solid harmonious team. A foreign coach alone is not good, he would focus on the pros only and that's not good and vise versa with the Moroccan coach, further both coaches should be paid equally and treated the same and get the same rights and responsiblity, no more assistant thing! That's how I see it right now. and about Jol he is Ok but I don't think Ajax will release him unless he fails to get the Dutch championship title next week ;=).

Wish I could tell you. He coached teams in morocco in the 90's then he went to the middle east.

I think it is that guy working in Qatar as technical manager. He has what it takes I guess. His name is Hassan Hurmatu Allah.
