• Press review: Aubameyang blames 'cursed orange juice' for Gabon's World Cup qualification failure

(Marca) Gabon will yet again miss out on appearing at the FIFA World Cup in 2018 after falling to a 3-0 defeat against Morocco and forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has suggested that the side might have been given some orange juice that had been tampered with.

The Borussia Dortmund striker tweeted that his side lost because half of the team were suffering with stomach pains, which he blamed on orange juice.

"Half of the team and the staff unbelievable stomach ache on the day of the match [sic]," he tweeted. "What cursed orange juice.

"Aubameyang's international teammate and Lorient player, Denis Bouanga, later replied to the tweet saying that the consumption of the juice was when things started to go wrong.

Afterwards, Morocco's Mehdi Benatia responded through a video on his own Instagram, telling his 'old friend' that there was nothing wrong with the juice.
