• U17: Two out of two for Morocco

    (CAFonline.com) Match Day 2 of UNAF U-17 Zonal qualifiers saw Morocco win their consecutive game after beating Libya 1-0 on Friday in Sousse. Tawfik Bentayeb scored the only goal on 20 minutes of the encounter that saw both teams finish with ten men. Moroccan Icham Aderaze was sent off in stoppage time just as Mohammed Alhuthayri of Libya at the same time.

    Morocco leads the pack with six points, three more than Algeria who edged Tunisia 2-0 in Monastir for their first win. Riad Rahmoun scored twice in the second half to secure victory for the Algerians.

    Tunisia too has three points with Libya at the depth of the standings pointless.

    The ultimate match day is scheduled for Tuesday 28 August 2018, both games kicking off simultaneously at 19:15 local time. Tunisia will take on Morocco at Mustapha Ben Jannet stadium in Monastir, while Libya faces Algeria at Sousse Olympic stadium. The top team will represent UNAF in the Total U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, Tanzania 2019.
